Playback availability and audio-analysis readiness are separate, and the timing differs between Web and the iPhone app.
A playable file can be ready before analysis
After an upload is saved, Traklist can make an audio file playable before its waveform and audio results finish processing. On Web, playback begins only after the upload is saved and a playable server file is available. In the iPhone app, the local copy can play while the file is queued or uploading.
First, make sure the file is eligible
Only audio files can have a waveform or audio analysis. Other supported files can be stored in Traklist, but they will not have these audio results.
Wait for processing to finish, then reopen the file. In the iPhone app, reconnect if you are offline and open the file once.
A missing waveform does not mean the file itself is missing or unplayable.
Some results can be intentionally unavailable
Waveform generation and audio analysis do not always produce every result.
BPM and key are not detected for audio longer than 20 minutes. On Web, those fields show No BPM and No Key.
An audio file can be playable even when its waveform or loudness result is unavailable, or when BPM or key detection returns no result.
If you are using the iPhone app
If a playable audio file has no waveform, you can still use the playback time control to seek through it. Reconnect and open the file once to let Traklist refresh its available audio data.
When to contact support
If the file is fully processed and playable but still has no audio results after you reopen it, contact support. Include the original filename and extension, its duration, and whether you are using Web or the iPhone app.
