Invite people to a folder when they need ongoing access to everything inside it.

Invitations and public links are different

• An invitation gives a named person access through their own Traklist account, with a role that decides what they can do.

• A public link gives anyone who has the address a view in a browser, without signing in.

• A folder can have both at the same time.

Send an invitation

• On Web — open Share for the folder, then add addresses in Invite by email (up to 5).

• On iPhone — open the folder's Collaboration section, then Invite people.

• Choose a role for each recipient before sending. One invitation can mix roles.

• Traklist confirms with Invite sent. If someone is already on the list, it says you have already invited that person.

Choose a role

• Viewer — View and listen only.

• Editor — View, listen and edit.

• Admin — Manage all but the owner.

Note — Owners and Admins can invite people and change roles. Only the Owner can grant Admin. Editors and Viewers cannot invite.

See who has access

• Open Who has access from the collaborator avatars on the folder, or from the Shared column on a folder row.

• Direct rows are people invited to this folder.

• Inherited rows show Access via the folder the person was invited to. Change those at that folder, not here.

Track and change access

• A person shows as Pending until they answer, then Active once they join, or Declined if they decline.

• Choose Resend on a pending invitation to send it again with the same role.

• Choose Remove to end someone's access. Traklist offers a brief Undo straight after.

• Changing a role takes effect for that person the next time their folder loads.

Important to know — A shared folder cannot be moved inside another shared folder. Ordinary subfolders inside a shared folder inherit its access; that is not a second share.

Troubleshooting

If an invitation does not arrive, confirm the address and choose Resend. If Traklist says the person is already invited, they are already on the list as Pending or Active. If a person cannot be changed where you are looking, their access is inherited — open the folder named after Access via and change it there.
