Accept or decline a folder invitation

When someone invites you to a folder, you choose whether to join it.

Find the invitation

  • Open Notifications — an invitation appears there with the folder and who sent it.

  • Or open Shared, then Shared with me, where pending invitations are listed.

  • Opening an invitation link takes you to the same choice.

Join or decline

  • Check the folder, who shared it, and the role you have been given.

  • Choose Join to accept, or Decline to turn it down.

  • Declining does not notify you again. To get access later, ask the owner to invite you again.

Important to know — Joining adds the folder to your library, so its size counts against your storage limit. Leaving frees that space again.

If there is not enough storage

  • Traklist shows Not Enough Storage when the folder would put you over your limit, and tells you how much it would add.

  • Free up space by deleting files or leaving another shared folder, then try again.

  • On Free, upgrading to Pro is the other way to make room.

After you join

  • The folder appears in Shared under Shared with me, and in My Library under Shared with me.

  • What you can do inside depends on the role you were given.

  • Choose Leave at any time. Traklist asks you to confirm, because you will no longer have access to the folder.

Troubleshooting

If an invitation will not open, it may have been sent to a different address, already used, or withdrawn. See Why can't I open a folder invitation? for the next step in each case.
