Fix Dropbox connection and import problems

Dropbox connection problems and item-level import failures require different recovery steps.

Reconnect Dropbox

Dropbox import is available on Web. If Traklist cannot browse your Dropbox files, open Create New, choose Import from Dropbox, then sign out of Dropbox in the importer and connect it again. Approve access in Dropbox, then return to Traklist.

Choose what to import

You can browse Dropbox folders, search by name, and select files or folders. Before importing, confirm the Traklist destination: the current folder is used when one is open; otherwise, items import to My Library.

Video files cannot be imported from Dropbox. Audio files receive their usual audio capabilities after import.

What happens during an import

A selected Dropbox folder is recreated with its subfolders and files. If a folder with the same name already exists, Traklist renames the incoming folder instead of overwriting it.

Importing happens in the background. A file can show Importing, then Processing, before it is ready.

If an import stalls or fails

  • Retry an individual import that failed, was canceled, or ran out of storage.

  • Check that the file is not video and is no larger than 5 GB before retrying.

  • If Dropbox is temporarily unavailable, try again later.

When to contact support

Contact support if reconnecting and retrying do not help. Include the Dropbox item name, whether it is a file or folder, the destination you selected, and any message you see.
