Choose keys when you want files that fit the same harmonic plan.
Filter audio by key
On Web, open Filters in My Library, an owned folder, or Search. On iPhone, open Filter in My Library or an opened folder, then choose Items and Audio to reveal Key and Scale.
The Camelot wheel and Camelot display preference are Web-only. The iPhone Search tab does not include key filtering.
Web: filter standard keys
In Musical view, choose naturals C, D, E, F, G, A, B; accidentals C#/Db, D#/Eb, F#/Gb, G#/Ab, A#/Bb; and Major or Minor.
You can choose multiple root-and-scale pairs. Web treats enharmonic spellings as equivalent, so C# also matches Db when the scale matches.
Web: use the Camelot wheel
Camelot view has the full 24-position wheel: 1A through 12A for minor keys and 1B through 12B for major keys.
Use Exact to show only each selected Camelot key.
Use Compatible to include the selected key, its same-number opposite-ring relative key, and the adjacent numbers on the same ring. For example, 8A includes 8A, 8B, 7A, and 9A.
Choose more than one Camelot position to combine their results.
iPhone: filter by Key and Scale
iPhone uses standard Key chips and separate Major and Minor scale chips. It does not include the Camelot wheel, Exact or Compatible modes, or a Camelot display setting.
The Key choices are C, C#, Db, D, D#, Eb, E, F, F#, Gb, G, G#, Ab, A, A#, Bb, and B. iPhone matches the selected Key choices and selected Scale choices independently.
Show Camelot notation on Web
Open Settings, choose Display, then turn on Use Camelot Wheel to show labels such as 8B in track lists. Turn it off to show standard musical notation.
This display setting does not change the stored key or the filters available to you.
Note — Web Search includes a Key filter, but multiple root-and-scale selections can return a broader combination of keys and scales. Use the My Library or folder filter when you need precise pair matching or Camelot compatibility.
Troubleshooting
If a key does not appear, use My Library or folder filters for precise matching. On iPhone, use Key and Scale instead of Camelot.
