Choose a sort to change the order in which items appear.
Choose a sort
On Web, click a visible list-column heading. Click the active heading again to reverse the direction.
On iPhone, open the sort menu from the My Library toolbar or the up/down arrow in an owned folder header. Choose Sort By and Order.
Web and iPhone start with Date Created in descending order. Changing to a new sort keeps your current direction.
Choose the sort field
Web offers Name, Tags, Key, BPM, LUFS, Type, Plays, Duration, and Date Created. In folders, it also offers Custom Order.
iPhone offers Name, Date Created, Duration, BPM, LUFS, and Plays. Custom Order is available only in folders with a saved custom sequence.
Type, Tags, and Key sorting are Web-only.
Know how items sort
Name, Date Created, and Plays can order files and folders together.
Duration uses a folder's total duration; empty or zero-duration folders stay at the end.
BPM and LUFS place folders after metric-bearing audio files. On Web, Key and Tags also place folders and files without those values at the end.
Keep a custom folder sequence
A custom sequence belongs to one folder. See Create a custom folder order for the drag workflow.
Where the choice is saved
Normal sort choices stay on Web or iPhone where you set them. They do not sync with your account.
Custom Order is different: its sequence is saved with that folder.
Troubleshooting
If the order looks wrong, check the selected field and direction. Normal sort choices stay on the surface where you set them; choose Custom Order only in folders.
