Delete and restore files, folders, and links

Remove files, folders, or public links when you no longer need them. You can undo a file or folder deletion for a short time.

Delete a file or folder

  • Open the item's actions, choose Delete, then confirm.

  • Deleting a folder also deletes the files and nested folders inside it.

  • You can delete items only from your own library. Content opened from someone else's shared link cannot be deleted.

Undo a file or folder deletion

  • After deleting a file or folder, select Undo in the confirmation message within 15 seconds.

  • Traklist does not offer a Trash view or a later restore screen.

  • On iPhone, a full left swipe deletes immediately without a confirmation step, but still offers the same 15-second Undo.

Delete a public link

  • Deleting a public link stops that link from working but does not delete the original file or folder.

  • Deleting a file or folder also disables its associated public links. Using Undo on the item deletion restores those links.

  • On Web, the Undo prompt in the Share modal lasts 5 seconds. On iPhone, link deletion uses the standard 15-second Undo prompt.

Troubleshooting

  • If deletion fails, confirm the item is in your own library and check your connection before trying again.

  • On Web, Traklist restores the item in the list or folder tree if deletion fails. On iPhone, you see a generic operation error; check your connection and try again.

  • On iPhone, a failed upload can be deleted, but it does not offer Undo.
