Use clear names so files and folders stay easy to find as your library grows.

Rename an item

Open the item's actions, choose Rename, enter the new name, then save it. You can rename one file or folder at a time.

Keep file extensions intact

When you rename a file, Traklist keeps the file extension in place, so you can change the name without accidentally changing .wav, .pdf, or another file type.

Avoid duplicate names

You cannot rename an item to a name already used by the same item type in the same location. If you see a duplicate-name error, choose a different name or move the item to a different location first.

Access and availability

• You can rename items only in your own library. My Library is the account root view, so it cannot be renamed.

• On iPhone, failed uploads and items received through a shared link cannot be renamed.

Troubleshooting

If a rename fails, confirm the item is in your own library and that the name is not already used by the same item type in that location.
