Choose an image to make a folder easier to recognize.

Change folder artwork

• Folder artwork is the visual cover for a folder. It does not change artwork on the files inside it.

• My Library itself does not have artwork.

On Web

• Open the folder, then click its artwork in the header or details panel.

• The picker opens on Uploads. Choose Upload photo, crop to a square, then save — or reuse something from Previously used.

• Open Gallery to pick a curated cover instead. See Use the Artwork Gallery and recent artwork.

• If the folder has custom artwork, choose Remove to return to its default folder artwork.

On iPhone

• Open the folder and tap its artwork.

• Choose Photo Library or Take Photo. Move and scale the image in the square crop, then save — or reuse something from Previously used.

• Open Gallery to pick a curated cover instead.

• You need to be online to change folder artwork.

Who can change it

You can change artwork on folders you own, and in a folder someone shared with you when your role allows editing. Viewers cannot change artwork.

Use a supported image

• Use a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image up to 30 MB.

• Changing or removing folder artwork does not delete the original image from your device.

• Visitors cannot change folder artwork from a shared link.

Troubleshooting

If artwork will not save, use a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image within 30 MB and confirm that you own the folder.
