Use the Artwork Gallery and recent artwork

The artwork picker has two tabs: Uploads for your own images, and Gallery for Traklist's curated covers.

Open the picker

  • Choose to change artwork on a file or folder. The picker opens titled Artwork.

  • For your account photo it opens titled Profile Photo. The curated covers are not offered there — a profile photo uses your own image or an initials color.

  • You need permission to edit the item. Viewers in a shared folder cannot change artwork.

Upload your own image

  • Choose Upload photo, then crop and zoom before saving.

  • Previously used keeps what you used before, so you can apply it again without uploading it twice.

  • Select images in Previously used and choose Remove selected to clear them. Traklist asks you to confirm. Some originals cannot be removed.

Choose a curated cover

  • Open Gallery and browse the collections: All, Experimental, Gradients, Illustrations, Photos, and Words.

  • Shuffle covers reorders them, and a New badge marks recent additions.

  • Filter by color, or pick your own with Custom color. Traklist shows how many covers match, and Clear removes the filter.

Pro — Anyone can browse the Gallery, filter it, and shuffle it. Applying a curated cover requires Pro. Uploading your own artwork is on Free and Pro.

Change how covers are laid out on iPhone

  • Choose 2 per row, 4 per row, One at a time, or Collage while browsing.

  • The choice is remembered for file and folder artwork. A profile photo always uses 4 per row.

What artwork applies to

  • Artwork applies to the file or folder you opened the picker from.

  • Non-audio files keep their file icon or preview and have no artwork editor.

  • To give new uploads a folder's artwork automatically, use Match Folder Artwork instead.

Troubleshooting

If no covers appear, clear the color filter — Traklist says when nothing matches. If a cover will not apply, check whether your plan includes the Gallery. If you cannot change artwork at all in a shared folder, your role does not allow editing.
