Why filtered row numbers may have gaps

Filtering hides items but does not renumber the positions that remain.

Important to know

  • In a folder, a row number shows an item's position in the folder's current order.

  • When a filter hides some items, Traklist keeps the remaining items' original positions instead of renumbering them. Seeing 1, 4, and 7 does not mean anything is missing.

  • Search results do not keep the folder's row numbers.

Change the order

  • Changing the sort or a folder's custom order recalculates the row numbers.

  • Clear filters to see every item in sequence again.
