A share link gives visitors access only to content and actions enabled by the person who shared it.
Open a shared file or folder
Anyone can open an enabled shared link. You do not need a Traklist account just to browse or listen.
Browse, play, and preview
In a shared folder, visitors can browse its folders and subfolders. Audio files play in Traklist. Supported files open in their available preview; other files show as files without a supported preview.
Visitor boundaries
Visitors cannot edit, upload, rename, move, or tag shared files and folders.
Save or download when offered
In a shared folder, every file and folder row has a … menu on the right, on desktop and on mobile. When the link allows downloads, that menu shows the item's name plus the Save and Download actions. Saving to a Traklist library requires signing in; downloading does not.
See item details on a view-only link
When downloads are not enabled, the … menu shows details about the item instead of actions:
For a file, it shows the file size and the file type.
For a folder, it shows how many files and folders it contains, along with the folder's total size.
This gives visitors a sense of what they are looking at even when they cannot download it.
