This walkthrough shows you how to upload a supported audio file, play it, and share it from an organized folder..
1. Choose where the track should live
You can upload straight into the My Library root, but creating a folder first usually makes the project easier to organize.
On Web, choose Create New, then Create Folder.
On iPhone, tap Create New, then Folder.
Name it for a project, release, client, session, or idea, then open it.
The folder you are viewing becomes the location for your next upload.
2. Upload an audio file
On Web
Choose Create New, then Upload Files, and select a supported audio file. Where it lands depends on where you are:
Inside a folder — the file uploads straight into that folder.
At the My Library root — a window opens so you can pick a folder, upload to the My Library root, or create a new folder.
You can also drag a file straight into Traklist. Drag always uploads to wherever you currently are — it never asks. To upload a whole local folder, choose Upload Folder or drag the folder in.
Tip — You don't have to open a folder first. Drag a file over any folder in Traklist — including a subfolder — and hold. It uploads into that folder, wherever you happen to be
On iPhone
Tap Create New, then Upload.
Choose a supported file from the document picker.
You can also send a file from Files or another app through the iOS Share Sheet and pick Traklist.
3. Wait until the track is ready
Traklist prepares supported audio for playback and analyzes its waveform, BPM, key, and loudness.
Note — If the upload fails, use Retry.
File limit: Individual files larger than 5 GB are not supported.
4. Play the track
Click or tap the file to begin playback.
On iPhone, use the mini player for play/pause and quick navigation, or open the expanded player for full controls.
On Web, the player stays visible while you browse. There is no separate expanded player view. See Audio player overview for the full controls on each.
5. Create a share link
Open the track's action menu and choose Share.
Enable the share link if it is currently off.
Choose whether visitors can download the file.
Before sending it, consider opening the link in a private browser window to check the visitor experience.
Pro — Password protection is available for links that should require a password.
6. Keep building the project
Add artwork to the track or the folder.
On Web, Pro members can add tags for another layer of organization. Tags are not available on iPhone.
Upload a second audio file and try Compare. Free and Pro support two files on Web and iPhone. Pro supports up to four files on Web.
Return to Insights once the share link has activity.
Useful tips
Open the folder you want the file in before you upload. Traklist uploads into your current location, so choosing first skips the destination window entirely.
On Web, drag a file from your computer directly onto a folder to upload it straight into that folder.
Upload more than the audio. With 130+ supported file types, DAW projects, presets, MIDI, and artwork can all live in the folder alongside the track — even the ones Traklist can't preview.
Troubleshooting
If the file is rejected immediately, check its extension, size, and filename.
If playback still does not work after processing finishes, check your connection and see the playback troubleshooting article.
If a visitor can't download, confirm Allow Downloads is enabled on the share link.
