Recording lives in the iPhone app, and a take stays only if you save it before you leave.

Record a new take

Tap Create New, then Record. Grant microphone access when prompted, give the take a name, then tap Record. Use Pause when you need to stop briefly and resume the same take.

Monitor the take while you record

The recording screen shows a timer, waveform, and input meter. Use them to check that Traklist is receiving audio while you work.

Save or retry

After the take has audio, you can retry it or save it. Where a saved take lands follows your recording settings.

Important to know — Leaving the recording screen without saving permanently deletes the current take. Save it before you move away if you want to keep it.

Record without a connection

You can capture a recording without a connection. Keep Traklist installed and reconnect to let it finish processing and sync. The file may not be available in your cloud library immediately.

Troubleshooting

If recording will not start, confirm Traklist has microphone permission in iPhone Settings, and stop any other app or call using the microphone. After an offline take, reconnect and keep Traklist installed so processing and sync can finish.
