Set up two-factor authentication and recovery codes

Two-factor authentication adds a verification step after password sign-in.

Choose a two-factor method

On Web, open Settings, then Security. In the iPhone app, open Settings, then Security. Traklist offers Authenticator App and Email Authentication. Authenticator App is the recommended method.

Set up an authenticator app

Choose Authenticator App, scan the QR code or enter the secret key in your authenticator app, then enter its six-digit code in Traklist to finish setup.

Set up email authentication

Choose Email Authentication. Traklist sends a six-digit code to your account email when you enable it.

Save your recovery codes

After Authenticator App setup, Traklist gives you 10 single-use recovery codes. Regenerate Codes verifies an emailed code first and replaces the old set of recovery codes.

Tip — Store your recovery codes somewhere safe. Each one works once and lets you sign in if you lose access to your authenticator.

Troubleshooting

If a code is rejected, request a new email code or wait for the next authenticator code. Use a recovery code only when you cannot access the authenticator.
