A preview lets you view a non-audio file's contents. Audio files play in Traklist's audio player instead.
What Traklist can open
Audio files play in the audio player rather than opening as a document-style preview.
Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, and .webp open in the Web image viewer or the native iPhone preview.
PDF files open in the Web PDF viewer or the native iPhone preview.
Plain-text files open in the Web text viewer or the native iPhone preview. On Web, text previews show the first 1 MB; download the file to use the full text.
Where preview differs
On iPhone, supported documents and spreadsheets can open in the native preview. This includes Word and Rich Text documents, Markdown, CSV and Excel files, JSON, XML, and YAML files.
On Web, those other documents and spreadsheets are stored as files but do not open in a content preview.
Files that do not preview
DAW projects, presets, MIDI files, and archives can be stored, organized, downloaded, or exported, but Traklist does not open their contents or make them playable.
Waveforms and audio analysis apply only to audio files. They do not apply to images, documents, projects, presets, MIDI, or archives.
Previewing files from a share
A public link opened on Web follows the Web rules above. Shared content opened in Traklist on iPhone follows the iPhone rules.
When a folder share is set to audio-only, non-audio files are not included in that share.
