Use the mini player and expanded player on iPhone

The mini player stays available while you browse.

Use the mini player

After audio starts, the mini player appears above the tab bar while you browse. It shows artwork, track information, progress, Play/Pause, and, when available, a Share control.

Use Play/Pause to keep listening without opening the full player.

Open the expanded player

Tap the mini player outside its buttons, or swipe up on it. The expanded player gives you the larger player surface for artwork, visualizers, Compare, Match Loudness, AirPlay, sharing, and notes.

Return to the mini player

From the top of the expanded player, drag downward to return to the mini player.

Know the Web boundary

The mini and expanded player are iPhone features. On Web, playback stays in the player at the bottom of the window.

Troubleshooting

If the expanded player does not open, tap the mini player outside its buttons or swipe up. Web uses its persistent player instead.
