Use Classic, Bloom, and Poster folder styles on iPhone

Open folder styles when you want to change an iPhone folder's header or background.

Open the Styles sheet

  • Open an owned folder and tap the folder style control in its header.

  • Shared-link folders use a fixed presentation and do not offer this control.

Choose a folder header

  • Under Header, choose Classic or Poster.

  • Classic uses compact artwork. Poster uses full-width artwork.

  • Under Modes, turn on Bloom for an animated gradient based on the folder's artwork and colors.

Use Backdrop

  • Under Modes, turn on Backdrop for a full-page color.

  • Choose a color, one of six recent or preset swatches, a Depth from 0% to 100%, or Reset Color.

The rules that keep styles working

  • Bloom and Backdrop cannot be used together.

  • Choosing Poster turns Bloom off.

  • To switch from Bloom to Classic, turn Bloom off first.

What stays with the folder

  • Classic, Bloom, and Poster are saved for each folder on this iPhone.

  • Backdrop mode and color are folder data. Backdrop Depth stays on the iPhone where you set it.

  • Folder appearance choices do not require a Pro plan.

Troubleshooting

If a style is unavailable, confirm the folder is owned and online. Shared folders use a fixed presentation; Bloom and Backdrop cannot be active together.
