iPhone gestures and swipe actions

Each gesture below lists the exact conditions in the iPhone app that make it available; the last section collects the limits.

My Library and folder gestures

  • In My Library or one of your folders, press and hold an item, then drag it onto a folder to move it.

  • In one of your folders, release a dragged item between rows to create a custom order.

  • Swipe an item in My Library or one of your folders left to reveal Delete. Tapping Delete asks for confirmation; a full left swipe deletes immediately.

  • During multi-selection, drag across checkboxes to select or deselect adjacent available items.

Player gestures

  • Tap the mini player, or drag it upward, to open the expanded player.

  • Swipe the mini-player title left for next and right for previous.

  • Press and hold in the mini player, then drag horizontally to scrub.

  • While Notes is open, drag horizontally in the mini player to scrub without pressing and holding.

  • In the expanded player, swipe horizontally between Artwork, Spectrum, and Goniometer.

  • Drag downward from the top of the expanded player to collapse it. For a single file opened directly from a shared link, collapsing dismisses the player.

  • While one file is already loaded, press and hold one other playable audio file, then drag it over the mini player to add it as the second Compare file.

When a gesture is unavailable

  • Move — unavailable while offline, during multi-selection, or in a folder opened from a shared link.

  • Reorder — unavailable in My Library, while offline, during multi-selection, or in a folder opened from a shared link.

  • Delete — unavailable during multi-selection or in a folder opened from a shared link. While offline, only failed uploads can be deleted, and deleting a failed upload does not offer Undo.

  • Drag to select — available only during multi-selection; items unavailable offline are skipped.

  • Mini-player title swipe — unavailable in Compare, while scrubbing, or while Notes is open. It changes tracks only when the queue has a next or previous file in that direction.

  • Upward mini-player drag — unavailable while Notes is open or while scrubbing. Tapping the mini player still opens it from Notes.

  • Mini-player scrub — available only with the mini player.

  • Expanded-player collapse — starts only when the expanded content is scrolled to the top, and is unavailable in Compare.

  • Drag to Compare — unavailable while offline or during multi-selection. It requires a current player file and exactly one other playable audio file; a folder, the current file, or multiple dragged items cannot be dropped. It is available from My Library, your folders, and folders opened from a shared link.
