Web and the iPhone app use drag-and-drop for different tasks, so each instruction names the applicable surface.

Import from your computer on Web

  • Drag files from your computer into Traklist to upload them to the current location.

  • Drop files directly onto a folder to upload into that folder.

  • When you drop a folder on Web, Traklist uploads its full nested folder structure.

Move and reorder existing items

  • Web — Drag an existing file or folder onto another folder to move it. This moves the item; it does not make a copy.

  • Web — In a folder, drag a single item between rows to create a custom order.

  • iPhone app — Press and hold, then drag an existing item onto a folder to move it, or release it between rows to reorder it.

Drag audio files into Compare

  • Web — While an audio file is in the player, drag another playable audio file onto the player to start Compare.

  • Web — In Compare, drag a playable audio file onto an available Compare slot to add or replace it.

  • iPhone app — Press and hold, then drag one playable audio file over the mini player to add it as the second file in Compare.

When drag-and-drop is unavailable

  • The iPhone app does not support computer-style external file dropping. Use Create New or the Share Sheet to import a file instead.

  • On Web, clear BPM, Key, or File Type filters if dragging items within a folder is unavailable.

  • Web support for dropping a whole folder varies. If a folder drop does not work, use the normal upload flow to select its contents.
